Treasure Shot is one of the Sub-Games in Kirby: Squeak Squad, and is among the three available from the start.

Gameplay[edit]

In this Sub-Game, Kirby (and other Kirbys if played in multiplayer) faces off against Doc. There are three treasure chests that open at random intervals. Kirby must shoot orbs to collect the sweets found in treasure chests, which give varying amounts of points. Doc will also attempt to collect the sweets by shooting green orbs from his UFO, allowing him to also accrue points if Kirby is too slow.

To collect the sweets, the player must slide the stylus in the direction Kirby wishes to shoot the orbs at. The direction leading to each treasure chest is conveniently shown on the touch screen. Usually the sweets only require one hit to be received, though the larger sweets require several hits which can also be contributed to by other players or Doc. The player with the most amount of points is declared the winner.

There are three difficulty levels for this mode. As the difficulty level goes higher, Doc will shoot his orbs at a faster rate, and bombs will start appearing, which can temporarily stun the unlucky hitter and render them unable to shoot, denoted by a big red "X" on the top screen.

Items[edit]

  • Cherry - 1 point
  • Sundae - 2 points
  • Cupcake - 3 points, takes three hits to collect
  • Big sweet - 5 points, takes eight hits to collect
  • Bomb - Temporarily stuns the player, takes two hits. Only appears starting from Level 2.
