Darpa[1] is an enemy from Another Dimension encountered in Kirby's Return to Dream Land and its remake, Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe. It is only encountered in Another Dimension and in the new Magolor Epilogue: The Interdimensional Traveler extra mode in the remake, alongside its counterparts, the Dippas, Dupas, and Deppas.
Darpa is a small, purple butterfly-like creature with a small appendage on its head, resembling a Sphere Doomer. It also has two yellow eyes, a characteristic shared with its counterparts.
This enemy is the simplest and most common of its four brethren. It is very weak, as its only attack is to attempt to ram into Kirby and his friends. It also has very low health and is relatively easy to dodge.
Game appearances
Kirby's Return to Dream Land / Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe
Darpa is firstly introduced in Kirby's Return to Dream Land as an enemy solely found in Another Dimension, only present in segments of the level that are not boss fights. In Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, Darpas also appear throughout Magolor Epilogue: The Interdimensional Traveler as very common enemies, marking the first time any player is able to interact with them without riding on Landia.
In the boss battles against Electricky Dooter and Master Crown, Darpas can be summoned through Electricky Dooter's hat and the crown's dimensional rifts respectively, with the latter scenario summoning variants with increased health. Because of this, these battles in The True Arena are also the only times Kirby is able to encounter Darpas on foot and inhale them, however they will only give no ability if swallowed.
