Dippa[1] is an enemy from Another Dimension encountered in Kirby's Return to Dream Land and its remake, Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe. It is only encountered in Another Dimension and in the new Magolor Epilogue: The Interdimensional Traveler extra mode in the remake, alongside its counterparts, the Darpas, Dupas, and Deppas.

Dippa resembles a Darpa, albeit slightly larger. It is a moderately sized reddish-pink butterfly-like creature with a three appendages on its head arranged in a crest-like manner. It wields a grumpy expression from its yellow eyes, a characteristic shared with higher-ranking Sphere Doomers.

This enemy is slightly more complex than a Darpa and it is relatively rare among its brethren. It has the ability to fire projectiles which zero in on and can damage Kirby and his friends if they make contact with one. An easy way to dodge these bullets is to simply shoot them down, which is less risky than simply running away from it. The Dippa can also ram into Kirby and co, but it only moves in a straight line and doesn't change direction. It doesn't have so much health and is slightly harder to dodge than a Darpa.

Game appearances[edit]

Kirby's Return to Dream Land / Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe[edit]

Dippa is firstly introduced in Kirby's Return to Dream Land as an enemy solely found in Another Dimension, only present in segments of the level that are not boss fights. In Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, Dippas also appear throughout Magolor Epilogue: The Interdimensional Traveler as less common enemies, marking the first time any player is able to interact with them without riding on Landia.

In the boss battles against Electricky Dooter and Master Crown, Dippas can be summoned through Electricky Dooter's hat and the crown's dimensional rifts respectively, with the latter scenario summoning variants with increased health. Because of this, these battles in The True Arena are also the only times Kirby is able to encounter Dipppas on foot and inhale them, however they will only give no ability if swallowed.
