Kirby's Return to Dream Land,[1] known as Kirby's Adventure Wii in Europe[2] and originally known under its original working title Kirby Wii,[3] is a game in-development for Wii. Due to this, not much is known or confirmed at this point. What is known:
- It is a sidescroller, similar to more traditional Kirby games, like Kirby's Adventure.[4]
- Kirby's ability to copy his opponents moves will return.[4]
- It bears a striking resemblance to the unreleased GameCube game.[5]
- The Sword and Fire Copy Abilities seem to employ at least one attack affecting most of the visible screen.
It will be released on October 24th 2011 in North America[1] and December 2011 in Europe.[2]
Gameplay
Gameplay will return to that of classic Kirby adventures, in that it will be a side-scrolling platform game, and that Kirby will once again be able to copy from his opponent abilities to be used. There are also new abilities like a Whip ability, which seems to be based off of Indiana Jones. It will also be able to have up to 4 players, playing as Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede, and Waddle Dee,[3] each with their own will have their own weapons and their own unique feel.[6]
Enemies
In the video below, recurring enemies such as Waddle Dees, Cappies, Mumbies, Bronto Burts, and a Blade Knight are seen. A new enemy, what appears to be many Dees in a plastic shell that looks like a Waddle Dee. The Pacto and Como enemies from Kirby's Dream Land 3 also appear.
Story
When an alien spaceship crashes on Popstar, Kirby must retrieve the ship's parts to help the aliens return to their home planet. [citation needed]
