- This article is about the minor character in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. For the main villain of Kirby: Triple Deluxe, see Queen Sectonia.
The Queen[1] is a minor character from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, acting as the sovereign ruler of Ripple Star.
Personality
The Queen seems to be quite cowardly, as shown by her reaction to the Dark Matter invasion of Ripple Star: she panics until Ribbon discusses what to do with her. She is also shown to be somewhat clumsy, as when she bows in the false ending, her glasses and crown briefly fall out of place.
Physical Appearance
The Queen is rather unusual among her kind. She is a rather tall figure by fairy standards—standing at about Adeleine's height—with black hair and long pigtails, a slim golden crown, and a pair of rather large round glasses. She wears an outfit reminiscent of a Japanese sailor fuku with a long tie and a layered skirt; the sleeves are slightly too long, obscuring her hands. Though her wings are quite large, the Fairy Queen is never actually seen flying about.
History
In Kirby 64, the Queen sends Ribbon off with the great crystal as Dark Matter takes control of Ripple Star. From there, the queen is possessed by Dark Matter, though this is not known to the heroes. In the False Ending, this fact is made apparent to the player when the Queen glares menacingly at the camera after the heroes leave—but if all the Crystal Shards were collected, the reformed crystal zaps the queen and purges Dark Matter from her.
At the true end of the game, the Queen and Ribbon award the heroes with crystal medals for defeating Dark Matter.
The Queen also makes a cameo appearance in Kirby Star Allies, where she is being drawn by Adeleine in the latter's Guest Star picture.
