Snooters are creatures that appear as enemies in the Kirby series. They look like cloddy figures with pear-colored bodies, stubby arms and legs, and a pronounced pair of green lips, which it is probably named after. It also has a small tuft of blonde hair on top of its head. While they were introduced as inhabitants of the Mirror World at first, there are also some to be found in Dream Land. They stroll around idly in various levels and attack Kirby by swallowing him and spitting him out again if he is not careful enough. Aside from their great appetite, they also seem to possess a hot temper which shows when they get hit by an attack that does not instantly defeat them. When enraged, their pear-colored bodies turn red, they adopt an angry glare, the hair on their heads becomes spiky and they begin to rampage around uncontrollably, while smoke emerges from their heads. They no longer swallow Kirby in this form, but attack him by ramming. An enraged Snooter also moves much faster than its calm counterpart.
One of Snooter's more unique traits is its ability to eat food items, thus preventing Kirby from getting them.
Game appearances
Kirby & The Amazing Mirror
Snooters make their first appearance in Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, where they appear in all areas of the Mirror World, except for Mustard Mountain.
Kirby: Squeak Squad
Snooter reappears in Kirby: Squeak Squad where it again takes on its previous role and function.
Snooters can now, like every regular enemy in the game, be controlled by Ghost Kirby. While possessed, Snooter can be made to walk, jump, and lose its temper, running faster when enraged. If in enraged mode, it cannot attack except by collision, but if it is not enraged, it can swallow enemies and spit them out.
Locations
Snooter is a very common enemy in this game, appearing in most stages, though each level has at least one stage where Snooter does not appear.
Snooter can be found in the following levels and stages:
