Talk:List of references to the Kirby series
Split and move[edit]
Personally, I think this page is never going to be big enough to split it by type of media, and hence oppose the split now, however if that (hypothetically) happens, I would most likely support it. Another scenario is if in the future, if the page becomes hard to navigate, it can be split as well. My main point here is that it's hard to tell what this page will be and well-thought decision can't be made at the moment.
As of the move, I proposed "List of references to Kirby series in outside media" but that's not necessarily what name I think fits better. I put it there to give idea how could this be named, as "List of Kirby references" is really vague and not descriptive. Superbound (talk) 13:12, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
- I think that it shouldn't be split quite yet unless we get a lot more entries, but if it does get split I imagine it could work like Merchandise, with the subpages being different types of media. As for the move, I think it should be moved to List of references to the Kirby series. Not sure if we need to specify outside media. ---PinkYoshiFan 15:36, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
I propose:
- List of Kirby references in video games
- List of Kirby references in outside media
The former will contain all to and from references inside video games, and the latter in outside media (books, films). Kirby to Zelda and vice-versa will all be listed in one section. List of cultural references in the Kirby universe can be renamed to the latter as it already contains a few of "outside media" references.
Alternatively rename the current articles:
- List of references to Kirby series
- List of references from Kirby series
To stay consistent. List of cultural references in the Kirby universe is useful because it sorts all references from a single Kirby title in its own section, instead of sorting those references according to referenced work. –Wiz (talk · edits) 20:47, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
