Using images from the Kirby Fandom

Greetings, IsaacBoi321. I notice you tried to upload an image recently that comes from the Kirby Wiki on Fandom. I tried to point this out to you before, but I assume you didn't see that part of my message to you, so let me repeat it again here. WiKirby absolutely does not allow images that come from the Kirby Wiki on Fandom, or any other Kirby Wiki. We pride ourselves on having original images here, and Fandom is notorious for not enforcing proper file sourcing. In terms of the specific image you were trying to upload, we have someone on the wiki working to get all the KSA images that were missing into the wiki, so please do not worry about that.

Going forward, though, absolutely no images from the Fandom are allowed here. If you upload one from there again, we're gonna have a problem. See you around. --Samwell (talk) 17:16, 18 February 2023 (UTC)

Also, I noticed you undid a revert from one of our Patrollers when he was trying to point this out to you. That is also something that you should never do. I am SO SORRY. I do not remember being told this, and I promise to never do it again. I just coudn't find an image other than that on the internet. How come you don't want images from the Kirby Wiki, or any other Kirby-related Wiki? I abologise for this. I am so used to editing pages on Fandom, Bulbapedia, MarioWiki, etc. So I did not know this was a rule on WiKirby. As stated earlier, Kirby Wiki on Fandom is notorious for not sourcing its images properly, and it has sometimes been the case that images taken from them in the past have turned out to be illegitimate (fan upscales, fan art, etc.) Moreover, it's just not seen as good form for us to be copying from other wikis, you know? As I said, WiKirby prides itself on its original sourcing, and we try our best to get everything ourselves. We usually operate by pretending these other Kirby wikis don't exist, at least when it comes to drafting our own content. --Samwell (talk) 17:28, 18 February 2023 (UTC)

Small heads-up

Hi there. Just giving you a heads-up that it's typically not seen in good nature around here to change small words in writing. The same goes for adding or removing small things (like hyphens) if they are not grammatically incorrect. Everyone has their own writing style and it's best not to be too specific about this. Please keep this in mind going forward.

Page creation

Hello IsaacBoi321. I saw you created a "List of Copy Abilities" page, which I deleted. I just wanted to explain better why it was deleted, and point you to what kind of content you will want to create here in WiKirby. That page you created as essentially just part of what the Copy Ability page has, which makes it very redundant. I highly recommend you to read our page creation policy, as one thing is addresses is redundancy in pages. Moreover, it wasn't a page linked from any other page, so when you created it, it was an orphaned page. If you're looking to create new pages for WiKirby, you should check the list of wanted pages, in other words, pages that are linked from other pages but don't exist yet. And before you create a page, as the page creation policy outlines, make sure you create it with enough content to justify its creation. Here on WiKirby we don't want to inflate our number of articles, as we prefer quality over quantity.

If you want to help the wiki and don't know where to start, you should also check Project Clean-Up, which has tons of tasks to do. You can also check our maintenace page for even more things you can do. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me or any other staff member.
