"Caramel Country Western" is a Race theme from Kirby's Dream Buffet unlocked at Gourmet Rank 4. It was composed by Hirokazu Ando.[1]

Composition[edit]

Rolling over the sweet waffles.

"Caramel Country Western" is an upbeat Western-styled theme set in keys of C and in 4/4. It opens up with a steady banjo and fiddle pulsation with supporting xylophone and cello in C minor in a melodic figure reminiscent of "Cave Stage" and its derivatives. The melody is repeated an octave higher with the same accompaniment. The second section is set in melodic C major, consisting of a descending scale-like phrase in a rhythmical pattern close to the second section of "Sunny with a Chance of Oasis", played by a more distinct solo fiddle. In its second iteration, it prepares a major dominant to the following section. This third part is the climax of the theme, featuring faster notes with a melody similar to that of "A Trip to Alivel Mall". It alternates between C major and C minor each phrase, accentuated by a harmonica. The first minor phrase is joined by a second fiddle in a harmonious duet. The track concludes with a small fanfare in the middle-ground melodic C major before looping from the first section.
