Diamond Town[Japanese title] is a novel-exclusive small town that appears in Kirby and the Search for the Dreamy Gears!, where the the plot of the novel takes place. It is a town which is surrounded by diamond mines, in which Hugo found an ancient machine. The town is located in an alternate universe from Dream Land.

Overview[edit]

The town is divided into two areas. Its center is called the "Town of Light", which is full of mansions where the wealthy residents live, including Meta Knight and Hugo. Surrounding it is the "Town of Wind", where the poor residents live, including Kirby, Waddle Dee, President Dedede, and Daroach.

By the end of the story, the town is renamed renamed to Chocolate Town after all the diamonds are turned into chocolate, and it becomes a popular tourist attraction thanks to its luxurious sweets.

Landmarks[edit]

Diamond Town includes several locations which appear in the story:

  • The diamond mines, which are owned by Hugo. There, he finds the ancient machine. At the climax of the story, Waddle Dee is taken hostage by Hugo, who leads him into the mines to activate the ancient machine.
  • The field, which is the goal of Kirby's and President Dedede's airplane races. There, Kirby and Waddle Dee find one of the gears.

Landmarks in the Town of Wind:

  • Daroach's café, where President Dedede is a regular customer. There, King Dedede tells Daroach the news about the discovered ancient machine. Later in the story, all the characters who obtained a missing gear meet after being called by Meta Knight.
  • The clock tower, where one of the gears is located on it hands. Since it is guarded from the ground, Magolor jumps from the airplane of President Dedede to collect it.
  • The railway which is owned by Hugo. After a gear slips on the train, President Dedede jumps on it to get it back.

Landmarks in the Town of Light:

  • Meta Knight's mansion, which is often visited by Daroach. Butler Vul is a servant in there.
  • Hugo's mansion, where one of the gears is located. Meta Knight and Daroach brake in to find the gear, but also discover documents and photos of the ancient machine, helping them to learn about its true nature.
