Long Shots! Noble Ranger Trial (Noble Ranger Treasure for short) is a stage in Treasure Road, found in Winter Horns. This stage tasks Kirby with completing a challenge revolving around the use of Noble Ranger, firing at enemies over long distances. The stage is unlocked by rescuing 16 Waddle Dees in Winter Horns. In order to access this challenge, Kirby needs to have obtained the Noble Ranger ability. The stage is marked by two stars of difficulty and has a stage time of three and a half minutes (three minutes in Wild Mode), with a target time of one minute and 30 seconds.

Stage details[edit]

This stage places Kirby on a platform in the middle of a large pool, with the Rare Stone visible at the other end of the pool, but out of reach until Kirby defeats all three waves of enemies that appear. Each wave consists of formations of fliers, along with a few block-bound shooters in places. Each time Kirby completes a wave, his platform moves closer to the stone, and the barrier finally lowers after the third wave is defeated.

Tips[edit]

The following are tips on how to attain the target time for this stage:

  • When Kirby charges up all the way, he'll be forced to sit longer as he fires all of his shots. It may be better for him to only use partially charged shots to deal with lines of enemies.
  • Kirby will need to decide when it is best to fire quickly, and when to aim a charge shot. The Bernards' bullets will block weaker shots, but not charged ones.
  • When the Shotzos appear on during the final wave, Kirby should stand in the middle back of the platform, nearest to the Rare Stone in order to avoid the bullets.
