"Fortress of Shadows - Jambastion"[derived from Japanese] is a theme from Kirby Star Allies that plays in the stage select of Fortress of Shadows - Jambastion. It was composed by Hirokazu Ando.[1]
Composition[edit]
"Fortress of Shadows - Jambastion" is a resolute theme in melodic F minor and 4/4. Its brass intro sets the key with alternating F minor and E-flat major harmonies. The melody comes in as a variant of "Friendly Field", first played by a piano, and then joined by brass with a string counterpoint. It builds up greatly in the dominant, then the melody repeats in the strings and a flute from the tonic. The percussion intensifies, and the intro then repeats as the track loops.

In Kirby Star Allies, "Fortress of Shadows - Jambastion" plays in the stage select of the eponymous level. Additionally, a guitar arrangement of the theme by Yuuta Ogasawara serves as the music for The Three Mage-Sisters' pseudo-HAL room in Guest Star ???? Star Allies Go!.
