"VS. Squeak Squad"[derived from Japanese] is the boss theme from Kirby: Squeak Squad associated with the Squeaks. It was composed by Jun Ishikawa.[1]

Composition[edit]

Battling Doc's Mecha-Kracko.

"VS. Squeak Squad" is a dramatic theme in C minor and 4/4 heavily based on "Squeak Squad Appears!". The frantic intro and accompaniment share traits with "Boss Battle", connecting the two boss themes. With this background, the main melody of "Squeak Squad Appears!" plays, first similarly to the original, but then steering towards different keys, D and E minor. The squeaking noises present in "Squeak Squad Appears!" return in analogous sections. The piece concludes with tense diminished harmonies before looping.

Game appearances[edit]

Kirby: Squeak Squad[edit]

In Kirby: Squeak Squad, this theme plays during the boss battles against Mecha-Kracko, Yadgaine, Daroach and Dark Daroach. It also plays in the cutscene after beating Meta Knight in Secret Sea, when Daroach steals the big treasure chest.

Kirby Star Allies[edit]

In Kirby Star Allies, the original version of "VS. Squeak Squad" plays in the Electro Saw area of Sector C.
