"Mysterious Rocks Rumbling from Behind"[Japanese title] is a stage theme from Kirby: Triple Deluxe. This theme was composed by Hirokazu Ando.

Composition[edit]

Mysterious rocks won't squash Kirby from behind.

"Mysterious Rocks Rumbling from Behind" is a bright 2/4 theme in the key of D major. This theme starts with an eight measure long intro before starting with the melody which is played by a recorder-like instrument. The same melody is played by another instrument, along with some added instrumentation. After this the song turns to B major and plays another melody. This melody is played twice before the key changes back to the former. The theme then ascends from a D note to an A note before playing a bit of Green Greens, and the song them loops to the first portion of the melody.

Game appearances[edit]

Kirby: Triple Deluxe[edit]

In this theme's debut game, Mysterious Rocks Rumbling from Behind can be heard exclusively in the third stage of Fine Fields. It can also be listened to as track 011 in the game's Jukebox.

Kirby Star Allies[edit]

In Kirby Star Allies, this theme plays during the Planet Frostak segments of Extra Planet β, and is present in the game's Jukebox as track 097.

Trivia[edit]

  • This song's internal codename is BGM_LP_PARUFE1. "PARUFE" is the internal codename for Kirby: Triple Deluxe. This would suggest the song was composed very early in the game's development.
  • This song is among the few that wasn't included on the Kirby: Triple Deluxe Soundtrack. As a result, it wasn't given an official name until its inclusion on Kirby Star Allies: The Original Soundtrack.
