Egg Engines is the 6th map theme from Kirby's Return to Dream Land. This theme can be heard in the level of the same name, and was composed by the long-time Kirby composer, Jun Ishikawa. This theme is the 54th theme (103rd theme in the remake) in the Jukebox.

Composition

(Still in progress)

"Egg Engines" is a theme in the key of D minor. To match with the theme of its level, the theme has mechanical-like percussion and eight-note rhythm played by deep string instruments in the background. The theme starts with an upbeat, and then has a call and response part for 16 measures (played by a chime like and woodwind like instrument, respectfully). After the call and response part, some vocals and synth can be heard (along with some piston-like sounds) can be heard. The portion after this contains a piano solo that first starts playing various chords, then starts improvising a bit. Not too long afterwards, some heavy instrumentation can be heard, and the song then loops.
