— In-game tip from Kirby Star Allies

Pop Flower is a common object, appearing in Kirby's Return to Dream Land and onward in the main series, up to Kirby and the Forgotten Land. It is a small flower which can be found on the ground in many stages' open areas. The flower is initially closed, but moving over it will cause the flower to 'pop' open with a distinctive sound, releasing an item of some kind (usually Point Stars or Food). Depending on the area, Pop Flowers can have many different looks, from standard white poppies, to ice crystal flowers, to mechanical light bulbs, with some even being multi-flowered, though this doesn't change the purpose of them.

In Kirby's Return to Dream Land, Pop Flowers can be destroyed with Super Abilities, which still makes them yield Food or Point Stars. In this game they also change color depending on the character that activates them.

In Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Pop flowers can appear on walls and ceilings in addition to on the ground. Opening them up rewards Point Stars, but can also cause other things to happen, including making food or other items appear, or causing hidden doorways to appear. As such (particularly since Point Stars are how Medals are obtained in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse), opening Pop Flowers in this game is much more important than in the main series.

Color

In Kirby's Return to Dream Land, an opened Pop Flower's color depends on the character who activated it. These colors correspond to characters as follows:
